The HERS Keep Abreast Walk is UNIQUE to Fremont and it’s our community’s way of giving back to those who have suffered from breast cancer.
Last year, the HERS Foundation raised over $82,000 and this year, their goal is…
$100,000 !
You, as a volunteer, will be passing out water, helping direct parking, cleaning up & breaking down, and CHEERING PEOPLE ON! This is your chance to be a part of a huge event that is making a difference in the lives of people in our local communities.

HEY INTERACTORS!
So AIDS Walk is just around the corner and here are some last minute logistics that we need to inform you about!
What time? We will be meeting at 7:30 AM at the FREMONT BART STATION. Please don’t be late because we need to get there as soon as possible! The price for a roundtrip ticket to San Francisco will be $11.20, but please bring extra money for the bus ride to the park. If you can, buy your ticket ahead of time at places like Safeway, but if you can’t, please be on time to the BART Station so you can buy a ticket there! We’ll be getting off at the Civic Station and then walking to the venue.
You are responsible for getting back to Fremont on your own! This means that after AIDS Walk is over, feel free to roam around The City and go shopping. (:
We will be splitting you guys up into groups. We will have one officer in each group that’ll give you details and make sure you can get there and back properly.
What do I wear/bring? Yahoo Weather forecasts the weather on Sunday to be about 64 degrees so bring a jacket! We’ll be monitoring the AIDS Walk, which means that we’ll be standing alongside the path and cheering them on so comfortable shoes are a MUST! Sunglasses, sunblock, water bottle would be pretty smart things to bring as well — don’t want you guys to get dehydrated or burnt! Also, if you want, you can bring some extra money so you and your friends can wander around and explore the different booths at AIDS Walk.
Need to contact us? If you get lost, confused, or just need someone to talk to during this event, you can call or text me at (510) 789-5707 or call/text Dennis Lee at (510) 456-8582.
It’s going to be a GREAT day to have fun, enjoy San Francisco, and bond with your fellow Interactors! See you there (:
Peace, <3, and INTERACT
